Pros

Eveing snacks, Friends ,nothing more

Cons

Worst Company - Full of politics.I worked here for more than 1 year. They wont treat anyone as a human being. All should have 8 + hours punching time for every day. Its like a jail. Time will be reduced even if you go to washroom . Its totally a trap company .No work life Balance. If you join there they will ask you to work for all the days including saturday and sunday. They are telling themselves as employee friendly. I think they dont know its meaning . Before joining here please contact personally any of the developers working or worked here then you can understand . If anyone post a negative feedback here they will cover it up by adding positive comments in glassdoor. Please dont join here and waste your life.

Pros

Very easy interview process. Friendly and nice colleagues Snacks everyday . Highly technical and professional Chairman. Very sharp with very good engineering skills.

Cons

No professionalism . No technically good Managers/CTO. Lacking even in basics. Very emotional managers/CTO. No respect and high ego. (Feels not fit for the position). Manager will not handle pressure .Will add and transfer to the employees. No room for creativity.(They will not understand and will not appreciate) Useless HR . Suffer from identity crisis.(HR for name sake). Very biased thinking. Strict work timimgs . They feels that is everything. NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. No proper work estimate , cause of that day and night work. Very bad culture .(addressing superiors as sir/mam and a lot more). Very bad insurance and other policies .Insurance Premium was more than 40K (For me , wife and my parents), Claim limit was 1.5 Lakhs. Worst in my experience. Work environment is ultra bad. Not even a good breakout area. NB : Feed back always one's perspective , but I really wonder how a lot of positive reviews here , strongly doubts that a lot of it are fake or forced one.

ThinkPalm Technologies Response

On behalf of the company, I would like to clarify our viewpoints on certain comments mentioned here. Our CTO is a master’s degree holder in Software Systems from BITS Pilani and holds a two-decade experience in the telecom domain. Being somebody who was endowed with numerous accolades throughout his career span for excellent technical acumen, your opinions “not technically good, lacks in basics” and more seem to be utterly baseless and grudgeful. ThinkPalm stands deep-rooted in its tagline “Innovate. Connect. Empower.” and is known for its innovative line of solutions and services. In fact, we even offer rewards for new thoughts and innovative approaches as we strongly believe innovation is the way ahead. Concerning the insurance policy, please understand that only employee insurance is mandatory in ThinkPalm and adding your family was completely a personal choice. External insurance schemes could have been availed if you were dissatisfied with the policy. We are a company where the employees and managers coexist as a family and face stressful situations as a team without deserting each other in times of distress. Not sure how you can raise allegations against the HR team who are active in all facets of employee welfare and are striving their best to enhance the work environment each day. Let us also make it clear that not even one review here is forced and the good ones are a testament to the great organization we are.

Pros

Great Teammates. The team mates are well skilled and have a lot of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and help. Awesome employees in the HR, Facilities, IT desk, etc. They are very responsive and helpful. Good internal portals for learning and employee services like employee benefits and other internal processes. For a company of just around 500 employees it's good to see a proper employee portal and other systems and processes in place and organized.

Cons

Poor Leadership - Be it the HR leadership or the IT leadership, they are very unprofessional. They are mainly long timers in the company and they would do anything to benefit the business. First they would be polite to make you do what they want like work on weekends, holidays, extended work hours etc. If you dont, they would bring out their true faces and yell, threaten, harass, insult in front of team mates to get us to do what they need and use it as a warning for others. Taking leaves is discouraged. We need to justify why we need leaves as if we are committing a crime. Even in the policy it is mentioned "leave is not a right". You can see their attitude towards leave right there. Manager or Delivery managers do not shield the team for anything. They just nod their heads to anything the clients say and then squeeze the employees to work all day. The notice period was recently changed from 2 months to 3 months which is the only tool they have to squeeze the maximum from the employees even when they resign and leave. This could have been the new policy for those new joiners but instead this was put in effect for all employees without proper notice even though existing employees had accepted offer for 2 months' notice. Many employees had concerns over this but management didn’t care. Even when in probation it is 3 months notice period which clearly shows that management expect many to leave during probation itself but try to discourage with 3 months notice. It also shows how the management abuse the labor laws to get the maximum they can out of the employee. Notice period is no more about finding replacement and having a smooth transition to the replacement. Its about getting the maximum days of billing. No Work life balance - expected to respond to calls, chat groups, texts throughout the day. Even weekends or when you took leave that day. Sometimes 7 am on Sunday or late night 11 pm. Working on weekends is normal. You would need to give an explanation if you are not willing to work on weekends. Even when on leave you may be expected to join meetings since there is some "dependency" on you because you took one day leave. Toxic atmosphere and Poor Code of conduct - They have managed to get awards for best places to work even an award for best place to work for women but have personally witnessed team mates being harassed so that they quit before they plan their maternity leaves. HR management work with the managers to strategically plan and work this out. If anyone in the team doesn’t agree or do object to anything like extended work hours, too much work load, etc they will be harassed in front of others.
