Pros

Health benefits are good enough and the gym reimbursement is nice The people make it worth while for now

Cons

CEO micro-manages every department which might be tolerable if he didn't change his mind every other day. He is known to make things a priority one day and makes you drown in hours of work to get it done and then its never implemented or even brought up again There is no structure in any way - not at the management level, not within departments and definitely no guidance within your own role People are fired / let go with no warning or reason, just whenever the CEO wants, some are there under 1 month No performance reviews, no annual bonus paid out, no structure on raises, no work life balance, no diversity and inclusion, hardly any flexibility with work hours This is just not a good place to work, people are overworked, severely underpaid and then treated like they should be lucky to even be allowed in the doors with promises of promotions, raises and good work life balance. Overall just don't work here. The CEO is awful and there's no way he's going to change how he operates so don't see how it could really improve no matter how many good people try to help him If you currently work here, get out while you can

Terrible, Toxic and Tiresome...

Pros

-Good exposure into the operations of financial services, -Some top individuals working in different departments, -Great location - right in the city -Ex managers -Breakfast on Friday is the highlight of the week

Cons

- Secretive, deceptive and robotic. Be prepared to work in doubt and minimal communication is key to keeping an 'on edge' environment. Upper management will not actively communicate what is really happening. No transparency leading to fear of job loss - False promises. This ranges from commissions, career progression to general leadership & micromanagement. - No structure or culture. It feels like the blind leading the blind, where you must work without any satisfaction or recognition. Favoring silence over interaction between colleagues. Depressing place to be if you are energetic / enthusiastic. - High staff turnover. Approximately 1 person has left every 2/3 weeks (rightly or wrongly). Employees are exploited for their skills and not rewarded or recognized. Consistent cuts to each department, leaving minimal staff who are overworked. - No positive performance reviews only negative - no pay increase or salary reviews. - Confusion between start up/ big business
