Pros

Everyone there was warm and welcoming! The staff are friendly and the directors seem to be really passionate about their jobs.

Cons

Pay is not the best but it's typical of camps.

Pros

Full of joy and whimsy. Very positive, well-organized work environment. Lots of supportive coworkers, managers, and directors.

Cons

Can be a bit overwhelming - takes a little bit of time to get used to file management systems and high energy of camp. But these are very tiny cons compared to the pros!

Pros

- if you're a people pleaser and want to create velcro kids managers will love you

Cons

- You will not get paid weekly or bi-weekly, but if you work in the summer, you get paid monthly (it takes a bit longer than a month tho) - Found out workplace harassment and sexual harassment went on, I can't believe people think it is okay to say stuff like that AND are working with KIDS.... - Projects feel like 5-minute crafts and are often thrown out -Management has no idea what they are doing. Want support? Unless you're one of the manager's favourites, you're not getting any. - Low pay. Considering how expensive the camp is and how inexpensive the crafts seem, I wonder where most of the money goes. - Management is definitely known for making kids and other instructors feel uncomfortable - Managers will speak to you like a kid, even if you're a grown adult, super dehumanizing and condescending -There is no proper schedule. The calendars are not made to be convenient and easy to read. Feels like they put little to no effort into making it easier for counsellors. For spirit day's you are informed sometimes a DAY in advance, making it really hard and uninspiring to get something ready. -Very hot indoor conditions -Employees were using homophobic and racist remarks - Found out some of the managers were also gossiping about the counsellors and instructors.
