Pros

The mission and intent of the organization is valuable to the NYC community.

Cons

The new CEO is hypocritical and a narcissist. It seems she’s using the organization to promote her personal brand, but isn’t family with the programming or Scholars that is the primary focus of the organization. Almost half of the entire staff has left since her arrival, yet she refuses to believe her management has anything to do with these voluntary departures. She recently posted a LinkedIn article as an attempt to normalize and rationalize the departures, which is her style—refuse to accept accountability and blame an issue on a national trend of some vague/theoretical dynamic. People left the organization because she barely shows up to the office, spends what time she is there on social media, and only cares about staff when it’s convenient or she needs something to document in a board report. She hired her friends into leadership roles without properly explaining the roles they were hired to fill, and they have only perpetuated her abysmal leadership.
