Pros

• Some genuinely kind, supportive colleagues who try their best in a tough environment. • Commission used to be good. Sales agents once had strong earning potential, particularly during high demand seasons. While commissions have since been drastically reduced, some admin and customer service roles may still benefit from more stable bonus structures. • Certain roles offer hybrid or remote work, which can be convenient for some though frequent travel is still often expected even in remote positions. • High paced environment may offer short term learning experiences for those wanting to build resilience in a target driven sales role. • Occasional team competitions and incentives.

Cons

I used to work at Telecom Acquisitions Ltd (Home Telecom/Fleur Telecom/Eclipse Broadband), and I can say without hesitation that this company has been one of the most chaotic, unethical, and mismanaged workplaces I’ve encountered. Over just six months, our team went through three different managers, each with completely different goals, expectations, and leadership styles. The lack of direction and constant internal reshuffling created a chaotic environment that made it almost impossible to succeed or feel supported. Most staff have now left, including entire departments. Instead of addressing concerns, management has opted to push people out or quietly offer payoffs to make them resign. Commission structures are constantly changed without notice even backdated to reduce or remove commission you’ve already earned. Agents were hit with surprise deductions and told there was nothing that could be done. To make matters worse, commission payments were regularly delayed or miscalculated, and if you tried to raise concerns, you would be gaslighted or even accused of being overpaid. Bullying behaviour from management was common including aggressive micromanagement, public shaming, singling out of individuals, and blatant favouritism. Some team members were treated unfairly and denied opportunities based on personal characteristics, raising serious concerns around potential discrimination. Instead of a supportive environment, management made clear that if you disagree with anything or don’t like being micro managed you’ll be pushed out. Raise a concern, and it’s used against you. Bring up unethical practices, and you’ll be silenced or excluded. You’ll be expected to cold-call people under the false impression you’re a third-party “Home Move Team” only to quote wildly inflated prices for broadband and energy. Agents regularly had to tell people in small studios that they’d be paying £200/month just for electricity. Broadband is among the most expensive on the market, and includes hidden setup fees. These third party companies would tell customers that this is due to a commission added on top for the company. The company has no regard for compliance, and agents are pressured to say whatever it takes to make the sale. Sales campaigns and lead systems were poorly organised. Leads were recycled, outdated, or outright junk and management seemed completely out of touch with how to operate the dialler or prioritize leads instead would pressure agents to keep trying to sell to them Key decisions are made last minute, often announced without notice, and frequently damage your income or workload. Management has no understanding of how their own systems work, and even falsely accused an entire department of fraud, only to later discover it was a system error and lack of communication between management. There are zero real opportunities for growth or promotion. When roles open up, they are quietly filled externally even while internal employees are taking on extra responsibilities without recognition or increased pay. Leadership roles are often given unofficially for months or years before titles or salaries are updated. A lot of long term staff still haven’t had a pay rise or promotion but unless they are management’s favourite. To no surprise some staff have been encouraged to write 5 star Glassdoor reviews within their first couple of weeks, before they’ve even worked a full month. Management pushes for a “fun” workplace image with gimmicks and themed days but in reality, it’s a hostile environment. Work/life balance is non-existent, with forced overtime, mandatory Saturday shifts, and pointless travel for remote staff which is mandatory and part of the contract. This company is not ethical, not stable, and not supportive. If you’re looking for a sales role with integrity, fair pay and actual growth this is not the place for you. What may seem promising in the first two weeks will quickly reveal itself as an unstable, manipulative, and demoralising environment. The people who stay are either new, in denial, or stuck but even they know what’s really happening behind closed doors. Think twice before applying. This isn’t just another sales job it’s a company in decline, built on short term profits, unfair practices, and long term damage to both staff and customers hence why they are recruiting so many new people.

Pros

Good commission structure Flexible if you need to amend shift/time off

Cons

Senior management has absolutely no clue what they are doing, and will make immediate changes with no regard to their employees. Target changes mid month, BACKDATED commission changes, and unnecessary mandatory travel for remote workers. If anything goes wrong with one of their suppliers, expect to lose your commission to mitigate that loss. But they'll still pay their lead suppliers when contractually they dont need to, to keep them happy. Also dont expect your salary to increase in line with minimum wage, as they'll not give you anything if you earn commission. They prefer to encourage entire departments to resign, rather than attempt to resolve concerns. They will encourage you to raise concerns, then twist everything you've raised and punish you for it, to the extent of excluding you from certain sales campaigns resulting in significantly less commission. This is regardless of your performance. The whole business model of the company is extremely unethical, and I wouldnt be surprised to see them on Watchdog. You will be misleading customers about where you are calling from, implying you are a third party independent "Home Move Team" to then go on to overcharge them for energy services, and sell the companies own broadband services. In addition to this, they dont care at all about compliance, and agents will say whatever they need to in order to get the sale. The company doesnt even care about the complaints, unless they come through a lead supplier. Absolutely zero progression opportunities, they'll use you to take on additional responsibility when required, then externally hire for senior positions before you are even aware anything is available. Sales management take on new roles for years before their job title or salary even reflects it. If you need any sort of stability, this is not the company to join. It is riddled with incompetence from top to bottom, with only a few exceptions.

Pros

Commission can be good One Saturday a month

Cons

Dealing with bad leads and management that can't operate a dialler system or prioritise leads. Be prepared to have loads of changes every month and be told this last minute. The place has gone to rack and ruin and will soon be run into the ground. If you're looking for a sales role, this isn't the place to be. If you like loads of changes every month for the worse, selling an over priced products and misleading people with ridiculous energy estimates and unethical practices then this will be the place to work.
