I believe some of the biggest organizational challenges stem from external frustrations. For example, when an issue arises, it can sometimes become an “all hands on deck” situation until it’s resolved, even when that level of urgency may not always be necessary.
At times, goals can also feel overly aspirational. There is a strong desire to pursue large-scale projects and changes, but the amount of labor required to execute them can sometimes outweigh the potential benefits. I do believe striving for growth and continuous improvement is important, but the pace and scale of some initiatives can feel overwhelming at times.
The health benefit structure does not work for everyone (stipend vs insurance.)
Lack of pay transparency.
