Pros

1) Flexible if you have the right manager. 2) Nice Annual leave allowance. 3) Pay compared to larger or mainstream businesses is better generally. 4) Lovely team of recruiters who genuinely care 5) Lots of experience in the team, not a junior workforce but mixed in other teams. 6) Excellent client traction and generally good reputation with clients and candidates in the market and good resources to hand to help with BD activities. Good events and client engagement initiatives.

Cons

1) General employee perks are very low to non existent. 2) High flyers are average at best and even if you out perform yourself and others, there’s no guarantee you’ll get on a quarterly high flyer lunch which I think is crazy. 3)A sense of penny saving at any opportunity... They give the impression of being shiny and premium to their clients and consultants, but the realities when in post are quite different and feel undervalued as consultants as a result. 4) Bonus structure is horrendous and increments in pay following promotions is minimal. 5) Management focus on too many things at once so there is no focus and very particular about how things are done that won’t make you money but take up a lot of your time 6) Over hiring in tough markets so expect a diluted market with smaller or more challenged opportunities. 7) people who have been with the organisation a long time (recruiters at senior end) are allowed to get away with some questionable things which creates a culture that lacks trust in management to make right and fair decisions when their are conflicts internally. Whoever shouts loudest will take the win, regardless of whether it’s fair.
