Pros

Good benefits. Some European travel for training. Travel benefits are good. Great networking opportunities.

Cons

VP of sales gets off on how little he pays people. He has actually told this to someone. Every manager is out for themselves They do whatever the all mighty says despite how unrealistic, resource wasting and waste of time/money it is because their career is on the line by this lunatic. HR and Germany (HQ) is completely complicit about this. The pay is garbage and below national and regional average. They would rather have students demo/become experts on machines that sell for 120k to 1.5m instead of having dedicated loyal experts on the technology. Experience and expertise means nothing to management. They will replace you with someone less qualified and chaos ensues. They won’t fix it till they lose every customer to a competitor. If it weren’t for the technology being the best they would have no customers. The way the company is ran is sales first customers last and as an employee you’re not even considered. Service department is a joke. Sure let’s send a service tech that has no idea what he is doing on technology he wasn’t trained for just to send a body to the customer. There is so many more “cons” to list.

Pros

Plenty of training, Lots of travel, nice benefit package. Nice shiny facility. Phone, Laptop, all the required trinkets. Connecticut is beautiful in Autumn.

Cons

The high cost of their product is necessary to cover warranty claims and the cost of training the constant turnover of personnel. Below industry wages, Too much training (brainwashing-loss of identity), 100% travel with no regard for family needs, poorly developed products meaning the majority of service calls are to very angry threatening customers, lack of support for engineers in the field.

Pros

Travel, keeping the points for hotels, car rentals and flights. The smiles on peoples faces when you fix their problem and leave happy

Cons

You wont have much of a social life being in hotel rooms Monday through Friday and unless you seriously monitor your lifestyle it is resoundingly easy to dip into a poor state of mental and psychical health, which does happen among colleagues (sudden heart attacks, etc.) There is a 100% chance you will be exploited for any number of reasons, often just because you are already on site at the customer so "could you do this as well?" even though you are not trained on the task and that is not your job description, and they know. You will end up wearing a huge amount of hats that you aren't qualified for and getting paid the same for the extra effort, clear exploitation. Generally unsafe for anyone who is too kind to say no. Don't feed the ducks
