Pros

- High turnover results in junior members to have access to all clients (the best and the worst) - Location is great (Downtown Toronto) - The team itself can be very collaborative as the turnover is high enough that most of the team is new

Cons

- Base is low ($25,000 to $35,000 base) OR draw against commission - Management is overaggressive and there is no HR department to report to - Stealing candidates and clients and in-house fighting is the norm - 30 day turnover (over 25 people left in the 26 months I was working there) - USE LINKEDIN (don't take my word for it-- contact someone who has worked there-- out of the 50 people listed on LinkedIn in Toronto maybe half are still employed and most move onto bigger firms such as Hays or Manpower.

Pros

The company is open to hiring people new to the staffing services industry and provides training The main office is conveniently located on the downtown subway line Offers commissions plus a medical/dental and drug plan is available

Cons

Extremely stressful place to work High staff turnover rate Employees were expected to work excessively long hours of unpaid overtime (12-16 hour days were not uncommon) Low salary compared to other agencies Negative atmosphere filled with yelling, verbal abuse, fighting and unnecessary dramatics Certain management personnel were manipulative and dishonest The company is cheap: It looked good in the reception lobby but in the real office there was old equipment, dated computers, worn-out chairs (some of them were scavenged from another office's garbage), not enough pens, etc.

The worst place I ever worked

Pros

The only good thing I can think of is the location is good and once you've worked here every other job will be better!!!

Cons

The management is horrid, they fight constantly and I do mean fight, loud, screaming arguments. I've never enjoyed watching people being reprimanded or belittled by management in front of people and this is something you have to endure every Monday meeting. The Recruitment Manager runs down the Account Managers so there is no mutual respect between the groups. It's just very immature, feels more like High School bullies than professional management for a company.
