Pros

Flexi Time. Pension and Medical Scheme

Cons

Toxic working environment. Bullying is tolerated Management will not deal with issues that are taken to them. Staff retention is low. Promote staff well being but actually do not care about the well being of staff. Lots of people off due to work related stress. All grievances raised are brushed under the carpet by Senior Management and HR. Employees have no trust or respect in the Management Team. Internal promotion is just a buzz word, external candidates with no knowledge employed over suitably qualified internal staff.

Pros

Decent hours, decent pay, early finish Fridays. You might get career progression if you fit in.

Cons

Where do I start? Firstly, if you don't have a job, why not? Go for it and join SEA till you find a decent job and at least the experience will be good to show you what you are NOT looking for. New(er) MD has no more idea than the previous with even less integrity. People gave him slack as he was new but he isn't any more and everything got even worse. Most people cannot tell you about their experience as they get paid to keep their mouths shut when they go! Its amazing given their culture that they have stayed out of Tribunal. Oh yes, deep pockets! If you are white, male, straight, middle class with an engineering degree you will be just fine. If you have great ideas keep them to yourself unless you are in the boys club, you wont be thanked, you will be questioned, ridiculed, picked apart. All decent managers and/ or anyone with a slightly diverse background or characteristic will be bullied out pretty quickly. When a senior Director is well known for (witnessed by most staff, not just hearsay) sleeping at his desk in an open plan office and this has been known about FOR YEARS and not dealt with there is a problem. Clearly he's too expensive to get rid of but what message does this send to the rest of the organisation?
