Pros

Some great people, but gets less, allot of opportunity across teams but short lived as it's "not on the road-map" but it's a real need for the customers. good salary and great benefits, working from home is flexible Has a strong brand and respect associated with it's products and customers

Cons

Too many meetings, they try to be agile in some projects, but fail because the thinking and mindset of people is just old, bullying goes on across the company without constructive action from HR. Bad people seam to move faster around, with many very talented people just leaving quickly. Re-orgs every year become annoying, promotion as an engineer doesn't exist. Knowledge and vision of employee's is not important. The brand is strong but, it's over used and many of the claims are not actually real Products are claimed to be swiss-made but are really outsourced work abroad,

Pros

In general a good salary and fringe benefits. There are many interesting projects going on.

Cons

Very chaotic. Management pushes employees around without any concern and looses good people all the time. Many redundant processes and many that fail to work proper, so a lot of red tape and manual work to get things working. HR process is a disaster. Really a disaster. Applications do not get forwarded, no feedback - and often can take months before you hear more. Add to that that they seem more busy with helping management to get rid of good people than to find qualified personal. Middle Management is partly a disaster. Partly in the sense that some area do have good team leader, middle management, but others not. I have failed to see any of the many reorganizations to solve that issue. It is hard to make any career. The talk with management and planning for the future is not taken seriously. People are moved around, and your career is your own business, management don't care at all.

Pros

You get good benefits and salary. There are many interesting areas to work in in Swisscom.

Cons

Management is sub optimal. The organization is loosely connected and one hand do not know what the other do. The ordinary employee do not get empowered and too many people have left in my time as they cannot use their potential and simply work on good solutions.
