      The atmosphere is laid back.

      Cons

      Not the employer of choice if you happen to value job security. Risk of arbitrary layoffs at this company is higher than any other defense contractor in the industry. SURVICE managers are poor decision-makers who count on lack of transparency to hide their incompetence. What's worse, they are dishonest. Bottom line: save yourself a lot of drama and stay away from this company.

      Great Company - but beware

      If you love coding all day everyday, this is a great place to work. The company really goes out of its way to show appreciation for its employees with luncheons/parties at least quarterly. Profit sharing was unique in this day and age

      Cons

      Do NOT goto work at SEMATS. The entire team is constantly on edge. Fearful of losing their jobs. The project lead while very competent, is a micromanaging, bully. His constant emails make it seem like he's building a case against you for later use should he have to shift blame. He does not have your back. Other team members BCC each other his emails, and he treats everyone in the same derogatory manner. Run!!! Do not work at Eglin!
