Management makes life so difficult for you to do your job. They funnel all resources through themselves and then remain completely unavailable when you need them. It can take 3-5 business days before you hear back about a question. There is zero trust placed in the advocacy department. Everyone else is quick to take credit for all of our work and blame us for anything that goes wrong. Management refuses to acknowledge the effort and good work of their employees and there is a massive disconnect between the direct management and the owners. Any feedback is met with gaslighting and excuses. They will come up with any reason to not make the changes they promise they are working on without any logical reason as to why they can’t. Don’t trust anything the Advocacy Program Managers tell you, they are doing everything in their power to look good while sacrificing their employees. They are so insecure about their positions and their own abilities that they will blatantly lie to the owners to make sure that the advocates can’t ever leave their positions. The favoritism is unreal! As long as you are part of the “in crowd”, you can subpar at your job, they will let you move to whatever position you want. If you’re a pretty terrible advocate, they will make you manager of the whole department! The mean girl culture is so prevalent in this place and the lack of communication is horrific. I would advise anyone to stay far, far away from any advocacy role at this company.
