Unfair environment with very poor management

Pros

Yearly confirmed passes and discounts to selected resorts.

Cons

Sunwing is a place that looks pretty from the outside until you actually work there. The company itself does not really take care or appreciate their staff too well. People come and go so quickly that it's hard to keep track who is responsible for what. There is no proper structure and organization in each department. The company does not really enforce yearly reviews to allow regular staff to have any advancement or compensation for their hard work. You are only recognized if you are in a higher position or very close friends with your boss. There is no fairness and the management is just horrible. It is hard to voice an opinion without being a target. Too much work, lack of staffing and very little training given. Even the perks you get like the yearly confirmed passes have so many restrictions, it prevents people from using them. Overall, Sunwing is not the best place to work if you want great benefits, pay and recognized for hard work.

Pros

No Pros to working here. Keep looking

Cons

Abusive is their attitude to the IT department. Very understaffed, very overworked and paid about 10k to 20k under market value. They will work you to the bone and burn you out. The turn over rate is about 90% in an 18 month period. Compensation package is negligible.

Don’t ignore the red flags

Pros

Best colleagues, hands down. Because of the chaotic environment, it forces you to befriend one another. Only great as a stepping stone into the industry but definitely not a long term thing

Cons

Extremely low pay. No appreciation and acknowledgment from management. You’ll work so hard but all you’ll get is a slice of pizza as a thank you. You’re expected to bend over backwards for their demands and they won’t accept no as an answer (they call it ‘business comes first’) but when you ask for a raise, it’ll take literal YEARS. They’ll even say no to that. You are EXPECTED to do so much for them even though they’ll say they care about their employees’ health. The higher ups (Kelly Davis CPO) has won multiple awards every year. What people don’t know is that she came to work to Sunwing after the Max 8’s happen and drastically changed the staff travel perks for the worse. Won’t allow supervisors or management to give references to protect their butts.
