Unorganized leadership, toxic environment, high turnover, and poor cross-departmental communication

Cons

Highly unorganized, becoming a hostile work environment, outwardly promotes a positive company culture but internally perpetuates a stagnant and unsafe concept of workplace professionalism. There is little room for growth and the tension between departments and leadership makes it hard to achieve goals. There are employees in senior level positions that do not have sufficient training in or are qualified in any capacity to be leading a team. It is a dumpster fire of a company that has no regard for the mental health or well-being of their employees and treats them like they are as disposable as the plastic shot cups they use at the distillery. Also, compensation is terrible and benefits offered are a JOKE.

Dear former employee, Our company is filled with extremely talented, passionate, kind, hard-working, loyal, and wonderful people whom we appreciate and value greatly. We are very proud of all they have accomplished in building Sugarlands. This is an incredibly exciting time, as our company is experiencing massive growth from where we started 7 years ago. We are completing construction on a 50,000+ sq ft production facility. Sales grew 112% in the past year alone. Our distillery is the #1 rated distillery in the world. This exciting growth has led to the necessary restructuring and strengthening of some departments in order to continue meeting the standards of excellence our customers and vendors have grown to expect. We are actively recruiting experienced talent to join our teams daily. And we are thrilled with the direction our company is headed. We thank you for your contributions to our company. We wish you success in your future endeavors.

Sugarlands is an exciting place to work with great co-workers. There’s always lots going on. Management is very supportive.
