Pros

This was among my favorite places to work as an intern. All of my tasks were online, which made it a lot easier for my college schedule. I gained a bit of experience as well, which definitely helped solidify my background in graphic illustration.

Cons

The position that I had was a temporary unpaid internship, unfortunately. A small salary would have been a bonus. Also potential to move forward with the company past the internship would have been nice.

Pros

Amazing boss, flexible and undemanding schedule, relative freedom in choosing the articles you write about, constructive feedback and criticism, no experience needed

Cons

The internship is unpaid and, because it is exclusively written by college students, there are no paid (or unpaid) opportunities after college

Good Internship For Newer Writers

Pros

You get to practice your writing, as well as get constructive criticism weekly. This internship really allows you to grow as a writer and flex your creative muscles by coming up with pitches every week.

Cons

Sometimes there is disorganization with scheduling, but nothing too problematic. The time commitment may also be a bit more than expected (depending on your writing process), so be aware of that. Also had very little contact with editors, would have liked more of that.
