Growing, and having trouble adapting
Pros
Some good coworkers. Nice building, but it's being outgrown. The people who have been with Stratix a long time really do enjoy it (most of the time) and have a good team.
Cons
They are constantly acquiring new companies, which causes a lot of accounting confusing. There is no HR department, which is necessary in a company of this size. If employees don't feel heard and appreciated, they will leave. There are also a lot of empty promises. Upper management only acknowledges a select few people, everyone else is invisible. There are more than a few extremely toxic individuals here. They have been there for years and feel like they can talk to people and treat people like garbage. The company used to pay well, but new hires are not being offered equivalent salaries, and raises and employee bonuses have become barely enough to cover cost of living increases. They are repeatedly told that they are paid too much and raises reflect that. There is also very much a culture of drinking here. They throw a big staff picnic in the summer and a very showy, over the top holiday party for clients. If you're not a drinker, you'll feel excluded. The building is no longer big enough for the number of employees. Parking is tight and there are just enough desks/cubicles. There is no flexibility in the 8-5 workday. If you're looking for a different schedule, forget it.
