The salaries are fair and the employee ownership profit share is great

Cons

The "flexible working policy" is extremely inflexible. The leadership have a backwards approach to modern working.

Pros

n.b This only applies to the firm's Marketing team, not the experience of legal advisors. I was in the Marketing team for almost 2 years, and had a great time of it. While each member of the team had their specialisations, I was able to get involved in and take on a wide range of responsibilities, covering internal comms (intranet management, newsletters and good news articles) as well as external marketing like social media posts, press releases and reporting on effectiveness. The team works in a variety of different areas, such as promoting the work of legal teams and planning/attending events. The team was very welcoming and Employee Ownership meant there was a refreshing level of transparency about how the firm was being run. Team members were promoted on a fairly regular basis, and the firm has a lot of clubs and out-of-work activities to get involved in. Unfortunately I was let go due to difficulties presented by the coronavirus pandemic, but would definitely have stayed with the firm if given the chance.

Cons

Not too many to speak of - depending on your roles in the team there could be a lot of commuting between the Truro and Exeter office, and I did see some of the legal teams question the Marketing team's methods at times, although these situations were usually resolved fairly quickly.
