Pros

Working at Spark Learning has been such a positive experience. I truly love the collaborative approach and supportive environment the clinic fosters. My coworkers are great. Everyone is friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. The BCBAs and supervisors are consistently supportive and accessible, and I’ve never felt uncomfortable speaking up or offering constructive criticism. I also really appreciate the naturalistic, play-based style of therapy. It makes teaching engaging and meaningful for clients. Overall, Spark Learning is a welcoming, team-oriented workplace that genuinely supports both staff and families.

Cons

Prep time for future sessions can be cut when staffing is tight, but can be remedied by reaching out to your supervisor.

Pros

I’ve had a really positive experience working here as a BCBA. What stands out the most is the teamwork. People truly support each other, collaborate, and step in when someone needs help. It doesn’t feel competitive or isolating, which makes a huge difference in this field. The clinical model is another big strength. Clients receive highly individualized care that is actually based on their needs, not a cookie-cutter program. The therapy style is naturalistic and engaging, which is more effective and more enjoyable to provide. This company is also different from many ABA providers because it does not force every client into a full-time model just for the sake of billing. The focus is on what is clinically appropriate, not just what fills a schedule. That alone says a lot about the integrity of the organization. Leadership is supportive and accessible, especially for people who communicate openly and work collaboratively. If you’re proactive, professional, and willing to problem-solve as a team, you’ll find that leadership listens and genuinely wants you to succeed. Overall, this is a great place for clinicians who value strong teamwork, ethical practice, and individualized, child-centered care. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat, which is also a bonus.

Cons

Like any growing clinic, things can sometimes feel fast-paced and evolving. Schedules, processes, or systems may change as the company adjusts to client needs, which can require flexibility. Because the model is so individualized, it also means there isn’t always a one-size-fits-all solution, so BCBAs need to be comfortable problem-solving and communicating frequently with their teams. This is a great environment for people who like collaboration and autonomy, but it may feel challenging for someone who prefers very rigid or highly standardized systems.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We truly appreciate your perspective and are grateful for the work you do as a BCBA on our team. Teamwork and collaboration are core to who we are, so it means a lot to hear that you feel this support in your day-to-day work. We also appreciate your reflection on the fast-paced nature of a growing organization. Growth does require flexibility, problem-solving, and open communication, and we value our amazing team members who embrace collaboration and autonomy while helping us continue to improve systems and processes together. Thank you again for being part of the Spark community and for contributing to our fun, supportive, and child-centered environment every day. We are grateful to have dedicated BCBAs like you helping us live out our mission every day!

Pros

The team genuinely cares about the kids and each other. There’s a strong sense of purpose in the work, and it feels good to be part of a company that values your input. The leadership and office teams are approachable, and there are lots of chances to collaborate and grow professionally. It’s a place where your voice is heard, and what we do matters.

Cons

Scheduling can be a bit unpredictable due to therapist call outs. Last minute changes happen so it can be hard to plan your day when sessions get moved or canceled, but the office tries really hard to make changes as smooth as possible.

We're thrilled to hear that you feel supported by the team and leadership, and that your voice is valued, those are core parts of who we are. We also appreciate your honesty about the scheduling challenges. While client care will always be our top priority, we recognize how last-minute changes can affect your day. We’re continuously working on ways to improve coverage and communication so that everyone feels as prepared and supported as possible. Thanks again for being part of what makes our team so special!
