Pros

Mission to Provide meaningful employment for people with disabilities and Wounded Warriors

Cons

SourceAmerica’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) established a Bonus Plan for 2017 to recognize & compensate employees for achieving their Ability One, Federal & Commercial sales goals. The Bonus Plan was designed and executed in writing between SourceAmerica and each individual employee. The plan was implemented to further increase Source America’s Ability One “Mission” of finding Meaningful Employment for People with Disabilities and Wounded Warriors. Our General & SLT challenged their soldiers with 3 achievement categories --meet minimum goals, exceeded minimum goals and outstanding --each having a specific bonus dollar value associated. The SLT apparently assumed the bonus goals were unachievable and therefore payout would never have to occur. To their dismay most achieved what they signed up for!!! The SLT has now unilaterally decided not to meet their commitments for proper bonus payouts --PERIOD ---non-negotiable. (Some that deserved a bonus did not get compensated at all, others over achieved their goals but denied the bonus dollars promised, again all in writing) Beside reneging on the bonus incentives, employees now question if the SLT truly adheres to the ethics and corporate value’s they crafted and promote; Trust, Integrity, Empowerment, Stewardship, Passion. In other words, they don’t walk the talk, alienating them from their troops. What?? is ethical about our General and his SLT making commitments to the troops that marched up the hill at their command in 2017, met or exceeded your expectations and then you turned coat and let your soldiers down WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION??

Pros

Mission is noble. Helping people with significant disabilities is a great way to give back while learning the federal procurement process. There are great people working here but you will only find them in the lower level and professional positions.

Cons

Where do I start...Leadership; very poor and unethical. Here we find lots of mediocre people who've brown nosed to get ahead. Too many AVPs and Directors who are incompetent and undeserving of their titles. Some of these guys can't even walk and spit at the same time let alone lead a team. If you are good at brown nosing you have stiff competition here. These guys dedicate their time to upstaging each other. There are some leaders in this organization that have been involved with the program for 20 plus years yet have no concept of management. If you are intelligent enough to understand processes or project management, don't waste your time. You already know more than 80% of leadership which makes you a threat. Also, the facts are the facts, this organization deserves to be under scrutiny not because of its failed policies and procedures but for incompetence. This is a group of people that loves to over complicate any process. Leadership can usually be found brainstorming new ideals without addressing current issues, however they are expert at covering their impactful mistakes.

Pros

Use to be Mission Driven! If Sr Leadership would start to focus on getting people with disabilities jobs that would be a good thing.

Cons

No transparency with the Sr leadership. People work in fear of getting fired. High level producers have been let go and no one knows why? People that were respected and and knew their jobs have been let go almost weekly. I would not recommend working for this group. Those of us still here work with are heads down. Ethics officer out for blood-Very toxic....
