Poor communication, environment of fear

Managers like to use fear tactics to scare employees, you never feel a sense of job security here. You will be intensely micro-managed and mistakes don't get treated like learning moments as you are expected to perform with perfection. Every 1 to 2 years upper management will mass purge a handful of employees that they feel don't fit in their growth model (I saw this happen 3 times while working here), despite experience or time with the company. I've seen 10 year veterans get canned without notice or warning for simply not fitting into the CEO's vision. Pay is also way under market value because it's an Asheville based company and folks here don't get paid their worth. It's easy to feel like an outsider here as all of upper management is pretty tight, it's their way or the highway and fresh ideas are not encouraged. If you work here, get some good skills and get out before you're a victim of a mass purge.
