Pros

Nice office. Thats just it.

Cons

The general manager seems to be doing very little to contribute to the company’s success. His new executive assistant spends most of the day idle, with little to no action on his behalf. It's baffling to see such high pay for a lack of productivity. In meetings, neither of them takes notes or offers any insights—there's no real contribution. The free lunch has been disappointing lately, with smaller portions and even spoiled food on occasion, yet management does nothing to address the issue. Smartsourcing is rampant with office politics. If you're close to upper management, you’re more likely to be promoted or moved to a better role, regardless of performance. Meanwhile, some team has been waiting for a raise for over three years, with no clear timeline or accountability, just the vague excuse that "they're working on it." There's a lack of structure and follow-through, and it feels like there's no real process in place to address employee concerns. I would not recommend working here under any circumstances. The company claims to have a structured process, but in reality, there is no due process when it comes to performance management or employee concerns. They may appear to follow protocol to avoid trouble with DOLE, but in practice, they push employees to their breaking point, forcing them to resign rather than addressing issues fairly or professionally. I was issued a Notice to Explain (NTE) without any solid evidence to back up the claims. Despite providing strong evidence in my defense, I was still hit with two more NTEs with no clear reasoning or actionable plans for improvement. It felt like a constant game of moving the goalposts leaving me with no option to resign. The management is exceptionally poor, with a clear bias in decision-making and a lack of transparency. There's favoritism in hiring and promotions, and the process is far from merit-based. They often bypass standard recruitment procedures and hire directly, offering huge salaries to those with connections rather than qualifications. It’s all about who you know, not what you know. Overall, this company fosters a toxic, high-pressure environment where employees are constantly left feeling unsupported, undervalued, and demoralized. Avoid this place at all costs if you want to preserve your mental well-being and career integrity.

Pros

Nothing good can happen to you in Smartsourcing. Stay away from this company.

Cons

Last November, we experienced spoiled food. We complained, management said it'll be dealt with. I doubt that. Management is a good friend of the food provider. Bad food is happening ever since, we complained about it, but the general manager is not acting on it. He's friends with the food provider. Politics at its worst. If you're not friends with the general manager, you'll never be promoted. Look at the people around him. Check out the people always around him. Check out the pictures on the social media. All the people around him are living the good life. 45k above salary with easy workload. You're blind if you don't see that. His non-billable friends are probably taking most of the monies being paid by the clients to their billable associates and specialists. Most probably, the billable associate and specialists are getting from 17% to 23% only from what the clients are paying them. Truly a bad practice.

Pros

Smartsourcing is good at looking good esp. in social media. They provide fancy perks and know how to advertise: * free lunch & coffee (billed to the client) * loud work place with arcade games (only allowed to be used during certain hours) * CSR activities * Fancy events (though at times not organized well) * Wellness activities and maxicare insurance

Cons

I feel that the Company cares more about its reputation & profits than its people & values. * Lack of accountability esp. upper management. Instead of focusing on solutions when you open up a problem on how things are run in the business or an opportunity to improve, they will find a way to blame you instead of supporting you. * Messy admin staff. Admin staff are not performing their functions well and are difficult to deal with. They seem unorganized, very busy, and uninspired to do their job. It seems they feel under-compensated and under-appreciated. * Lack of respect. They will do what it takes to keep looking good even if it means shutting you up not to mention any rude conversations they had with you. * Aside from reporting to the client, it seems there is also work being delegated by some admin staff to us operations staff esp. to leaders. These tasks should be communicated by them to the client for clear expectations. * No clear salary appraisals and career roadmaps. In the guise of collaboration, they do not have a clear framework for this and let you figure things out yourself. * focused on growing its client base and profits rather than ironing out its messy management and administration. In short, CEO and its upper management are only salesmen not leaders. * they oversell & overpromise to clients & staff and then underdeliver. * they will guilt trip you for resigning esp. if they need you. * No real transparency with the client on staff compensation (as some clients ask why staff quit bec. of salary) * they will not listen to suggestions to problems early on until it becomes a bigger problem.
