Pros

The only good thing you can possibly find here - good people

Cons

The code is a spaghetti-mess legacy. Qualified people leave this place 6-12 months since they get here (I hope you understand why by the end of the text), and you can literally see that in the projects' quality. The salary is low. If you think "well, but I'll be relocated to Prague, it's worth it" you better think twice. If you still think it's a good idea - you definitely need more time to think. The management is paranoid and infantile. If you think you had a bad boss before - you just haven't met these people yet, and I really hope you never will. There is strong nepotism in the company, and several people at high positions have COMPLETELY no clue what is going on around and have no competence. They say that high quality is required and then they say "it should have been done already, why is it taking you so long to do it? You are not professional or what". But all of that fades in comparison with the following. They may threaten people. If you dare to have an argument with them or honestly say that you consider quitting and starting to work for the competitor... you're really better not to. There was a day when one person told something that the management didn't like. The next minute all the food (fruits, snacks) was removed from all the floors - so everyone knows who is the power here, yeah! There was a day when due to high staff turnover the management decided in the late evening time to break into computers of employees of the whole department and searched in their personal logged in emails and chats only God knows what. There were people, who were fired due to "not being loyal", which means that "we fire you because we find out that you have friends, who work on our competitor" There are also much more, for example - cameras in the office, you MUST spend 8 hours a day on your place (we are still talking about developers), you are not allowed to work from home, there is a whole department who write frontend (meaning PHP views) for the project without access to the project itself (and there is no API as well of course) - you just write tons of var_dumps, push it, build it, observe the result, write some code, repeat... you might as well stuck in this department, it does not somehow depend on you, etc... And yeah, there are also different official names for this company, some of them are "HomoDevelopus" (you can find more reviews here too), "Casexe", "Develop Us"

Dear PHP Developer, Thanks for your feedback. Our team is great indeed, we are glad that you mentioned that. However, it doesn't match with the cons that you described. Talking about legacy code, there is no such practice only in startups. As far as Slotegrator is a quite experienced company (9 years on the market), there is no way to avoid it. We have described the company's position about estimating management in comments before, but it's a pleasure to repeat. A combination of PHP Developer skills and management talents is scarce, so if you do deeply understand both sides of this road, you are welcome to apply for management positions in the IT department - we are looking for such candidates. The stories like "someone has told me" are not relevant for such professional resources, so it's difficult to comment not even on the opinion of an anonymous former employee but their co-worker. But we would love to tell you a story about the day when all the snakes were removed from the tables. The case started on the 6th floor. An employee has printed an image with the words "Stop give us transfat!". The HR department had removed all chocolates, candies, and other yummy food, but several hours later, people came one by one and asked what happened and where everything was. After this, we try to offer not only sweets but also some vegetables and fruits. An 8-hours working day is true, and it is certainly a normal requirement according to the working law. Almost every vacancy in our company assumes a full-time schedule and not remotely cooperation. If you are interested in 4-working hours a day from home, you could tell the HR manager that you are looking for a part-time job remotely. Sincerely, HR-team

Pros

Good office location, that's it

Cons

I worked as a Sales Manager at Slotegrator for 3 months. In the second day owners a.k.a. management told me that the first sale comes after the 3rd month. I got 4 new clients that brought them a good revenue in 3 months. The boss told me that I did a great job during my 3 months trial period than I got fired in the next day without any reason and explanation. The product is bad and outdated. It took longer than 3 weeks to do a simple integration with my customer's website. IT lads told me that code and everything IT related suck. Company is not transparent at all. You must not show the demo and previous projects to your prospective customer, tell them where the company is based, who are their partners. Management is paranoid, ignorant and lies to you. Hence, employees are always mad, none like to work there. You will be put in an unfavourable environment where almost everyone ignores you. You will feel great pressure because this is a work-ethic of the management.

Dear Sales Manager, The decision about passing the trial period is influenced by many factors and feedback from different employees, top management, and colleagues. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to say goodbye to people for other reasons, including toxic behavior or incapacity to work in a team. But if we see that our employee is a brilliant specialist, we support him and propose working with weaknesses. For example, to use one of the company's benefits - business couch's consulting. We are more interested than anyone to keep professionals in Slotegrator's team. That's why the reason for firing such an employee must be probable. We hope everything will work out for you in a new company. Sincerely, HR-team

Dear Former employee, That’s a pity that nothing good in Slotegrator comes to your mind. It isn’t easy to imagine how you had been working here for 1-2 years. Commenting on the cons you described is complicated because we don’t know the department where you had been working. But thank you for an opportunity to highlight the pros of working in Slotegrator based on your cons: - our company is highly interested in improving our level of management and workflows because it’s the only way of sustainable development of growing; - we index salaries every year, taking into account the working results of employees and the economic environment; - a stressful atmosphere is a personal feeling. However, one of the benefits of the Slotegrator is consulting with a corporate business coach who can help with this matter and other problems that the place of work can arise. All the candidates are welcome to come and see the way we work and care about our employees :) Sincerely, HR-team
