Hotel California is an understatement
Pros
It is an adult environment. Freedom to work your market, although this is probably because they are lazy and don't really get involved as owners. It's a lifestyle business (not somewhere to develop and grow a career).
Cons
It's like the Hotel California, you might want to check out, but you can never leave as they get very nasty, very quickly with ex-employees. They can't grow or attract decent talent. They lie when saying they invest in new technology. You literally have an average shelf life of about 8 weeks in the business when you look at the attrition rates. They carry too much dead weight and underperformers because they are low maintenance, they will not invest in new starters and just expect them to knwo what they are doing.
