Pros

Decent 401k, high pay, positive coworkers because we can workplace trauma bond.

Cons

First couple of years were great and I felt heard, then the company grew too fast to keep up with ethical employee and client treatment. CEO makes decisions with people who have been out of direct client care for years, that only effect those with client care positions. HR is for Jonathan, not the employees. Every meeting I had with HR, their cameras were off. Company acts like they take steps to listen to employees. Employees often gaslit in meetings where they are supposed to give upper management feedback about how they feel. CEO reaches out to old employees after they leave exit interviews which are said to be anonymous. Clients are getting grade F care because we work with a population who experience trust issues and abandonment... then they go to a mental health facility they can't trust and all their providers leave because they are too burned out. Perpetuating client's trauma of a lack of stable ability to care for them.

Pros

One of the Higher pay I’ve seen in these types of mental health agencies.

Cons

Overworked AND Underappreciated workers definitely! Higher pay seems to compensate for the highway robbery of your time off from work because Any paid time off is all from one bank of time. Meaning there is no holiday pay at all. There is no separate sick time, personal time, or vacation time pay that you accrue. You have only one very small amount of any kind of PAID TIME OFF that you accrue per pay. You must give your earned PTO for holidays when the agency is closed! You don’t even get a paid lunch. Lunch is 30 minutes and You have to punch in and punch out IF you want to take lunch. And you will need lunch as it can be your only breathing time due to having a jam packed schedule of patients from the moment you start until the end of the day. They make you produce schedules full of clients that would be unrealistic and overwhelming to see them all in a day. Your only saving grace is in patient cancellations or no shows so that you can breathe or use the restroom. If all patients show it’s overwhelming and seeing that many patients per day per week is guaranteed burnout for yourself as a provider of mental health care. It’s your Typical mental health agency offering no care or concern for the mental health caregiver. There’s no incentives, rewards, or encouragement being given along the way to recognize praise or acknowledge the hard and challenging work inherent to counseling/mental health work. And, the only feedback given is in hearing about a job done or gone wrong.Nothing is being said about the good or what’s going right.
