Pros

Work-life balance. Offices hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Cons

It's been a pretty poor transition to the new ownership ShopperTrak. As of Jan 1, 2017, ShopperTrak is officially under the Tyco umbrella, from an internal perspective. Since the acquisition, ShopperTrak's company culture has been completely drained. No more sponsored happy hours, no more partners and employees holiday parties, no more team outings. People come in and leave. The office has established "office hours" (that are noted and enforced by management) to ensure people are in their seats throughout the day, although some folks work off-hours to fulfill global roles that cover Europe and Asia. With the acquisition, employees have been paused in their roles with no growth that was promised pre-Tyco, ever happening. Talk of the importance of "talent management" has been stated by the president, but no one is seeing this. Several key leadership and employees have left and continue to leave. Product development has been at a standstill with not enough headcount to develop, while the integration takes up most of the time. This had made jobs in other functions difficult to execute well on. With the acquisition, ShopperTrak has gone backwards and continues to do so. What was once a fun place to work is filled with people who are upset, unappreciated and without any direction.

Pros

Competitive pay, benefits , a lot of projects that will keep you busy

Cons

- No work/life balance. - Unrealistic expectations..The managers expect you to answer emails on weekends even for things that could wait until Monday - Poor management practice..they wait until review time to tell you things you are doing wrong..how are people supposed to know they are doing something wrong when managers wait several months after the fact to inform employees the things are doing wrong? - If an issue comes up at the last minute of the day right before you go home, you are expected to put off your dinner and stay at the office and work on the issue until it is resolved..regardless of the fact that doing it remotely is just as or more effective and the fix can't be implemented on production until at least the next day anyway..totally over the top ridiculous! - Requires being on call..depending on the position, they may be short staffed and you may at times have to do this a lot especially if the company loses some employees due to people quitting or a layoff. You can expect to be woken up at 3am in some departments. - They expect you to go the extra mile and put in a lot of work but when it comes to the time when bonuses should be paid, NO ONE GOT PAID A BONUS! - There's a lot of competition from big players in the market and their sales have been consistently slow. Be careful about working for this company..you don't want to be somewhere where there is a higher chance of being laid off or even worse termination. - Slow to adopt best practices and cutting edge methodologies. - They believe that your job is not your passion if you don't conform to their expectations of volunteering to work unpaid overtime without being asked to. This has nothing to do with passion, it's a brain washing technique to scare you into thinking your job is in jeopardy if you don't conform to their crazy work culture and that it's not any different anywhere else which is not true.
