Very Disappointing Employment Experience

Pros

The pros of working at SDE were very obvious in the beginning. They train their employees thoroughly, and give you the tools you need to do your job properly regardless of previous work experience.

Cons

The CEO controls every aspect of the company and takes a very personal approach to managing employees. While this sounds nice in theory, the reality is terrible. He takes every employee's mistakes and triumphs very personally, and if you have a change of situation in your personal life, he demands to know every detail. If this change affects your ability to stay with the company, you are now labeled as a persona non grata. The company no longer hears your ideas, and finds reasons to fault you in every aspect of your work. There is no warning for being written up, there is no longer any transparency about your performance, and you are treated as though you personally betrayed management. On top of this, don't make nearly enough to justify that kind of demand for transparency. The starting pay is $13/hour, which one could easily at a fast food restaurant.

ShootDotEdit: The Company To Work For!

Pros

As a current employee at ShootDotEdit, I can honestly say this has been one of the best jobs I have had. When I was first hired, I was not expecting this to turn into my career. ShootDotEdit is not only about making our customers happy and successful, but also our employees. I come to work and I see everyone here as my second family. We are a very close group who look out for each other, support each other, and do not look down on each other even if someone holds a higher level in the company. From my experience, there is always room for improvement and growth in this company and everyone is welcome to add their own personal touch to what we do. We have lunches, cultural activities, and company outings to keep all of us united. Expect to work hard and voice your opinion but at the end of the day, this is a fun job where you get to learn new things! ShootDotEdit does not believe in perfection but we do strive for excellence and this is why we are a wonderful company! Consider joining the ShootDotEdit team, you will NOT regret it!

Cons

Prepare to spend money on cookies at the deli downstairs!

Pros

literally nothing good came out of my employment experience here. Avoid this place like the plague

Cons

Shootdotedit was one of the worst places I have ever worked. Management is super secretive and will manipulate and lie to your face. Pay is awful. If you want to work a lot and get paid barely above minimum wage and have horrible bosses then you should definitely work here.
