Pros

Immediate team is excellent, supportive. Opportunities to move around and gain experience with different populations. Good PTO and Benefits.

Cons

Revolving door of Senior Level Executives. New VPs in almost every position in the last 3 three years. This causes new initiatives and better programming to be stalled. Profit over patient care. In the last several years there has been focus in increasing revenue and profit. This has led to a significant correlation to a decline in patient care. Direct care staff are hired with no experience and training is abysmal. Necessary for patients but financially underperforming programs have been slashed. Chronic Understaffing at the direct care level but top heavy with "Directors" and "Chiefs" CEO leads by culture of fear where new or different ideas are not recognized or considered.

Pros

My co workers were wonderful. The benefits were good.

Cons

The senior leadership was so out of touch with the direct client/patient work. There was no support from senior leadership. If you had a problem (stalking) with a client.....you had to deal with it yourself....no support. If a person was injured...only support from co-workers. The CEO makes over one million dollars a year. Yet they closed special needs schools and closed over 20 other programs.....people lost their jobs and health care.....patients lost services. My entire experience with Sheppard Pratt has been nothing less than corporate trauma. My suggestion is to move on to the next job ad....don't do it!
