Pros

- You get paid weekly - Food is freshly made - You get to learn many different stations - The pay is decent for now, but sometimes you barely get hours and the tax is so high due to them taking it out for health insurance. - 60% off your meal when on shift and 20% off when not on shift, but then again a lot of restaurants offer free meal plans.

Cons

- They claim to take care of each other first but they just want to please their "guest", you will be ignored most of the time. - Always short staffed, they will make you juggle 3 stations at once while the manager just lofts around. - Long hours and short breaks (30 mins), during night shifts, closing can last till 2 am and then you will be expected to come in at 10 am the next day. - Extremely high standards, you get written up for every minor misconduct. - Wasteful, if an order is wrong they will throw the entire thing out even if it is $90 dollars worth of food. - In order to get promoted you have to complete "sign offs" which are series of questions about a station, and you need a certain amount of them, however as I said before their guest will always come first and you will be ignored. - High turnover, we started with more than 85+ new hires and when I left, there were about 20 of them while struggling with multiple stations when on shift. - No compromise, they would rather fire you and hire someone new because it is easier, they will not work with you. Each week someone leaves or get fired. I have even seen the most proactive and positive employees turn resentful and act upon being fed up. - Enforcing cult mentality, masks as a "family", treats you otherwise.

Pros

The fellow employees are great; management is encouraged to be retaliatory and dishonest and are supported by corporate when doing so.

Cons

The most stressful part of working for Shake Shack is being constantly concerned whether you'll be disciplined or terminated for not thoroughly bootlicking upper management.
