Pros

NONE ... You can get free x-rays and labs and reduced hospital rates. But be ready for everyone to read your medical record and to be harassed by your boss and to have them even go so far as to advise your doctors on what your care and medication provisions should be. No regard for HIPPA or personal boundaries.

Cons

HORRIBLE corporate, executive and middle management. All are a bunch of terrorists who are undereducated hillbillies thriving on mediocre power by oppressing workers and ultimately chasing off great talent.

Pros

Since its located in a small town, the hospital atmosphere is quite similar. Some really great nurses and support staff, honestly surprised they've stayed there so long.

Cons

the pay is comical, upper management line their inadequately educated pockets, while the staff get crumbs. Working conditions are horrific, expected to run a skeleton crew because for one reason or another, not many new nurses are being hired. Most departments do not have adequate supplies on hand, and the finance team doesn't seem to understand how departments like ER, OR, Cath Lab cannot work like that. Obtaining anything new (ie. furniture, printer, even a FILE CABNIET) is like asking them to pay for it out of their own pocket, while the front office gets everything new, whenever they want it. Very High turnover rate, the only staff that stays are the ones that don't work!!!! literally.... because they know they couldn't get away with it anywhere else, and instead of disciplining those who need they harp on the ones that don't. Staff cannot speak their frustrations in regards to being over worked or under staffed because they do NOT care!!!! Valid complaints are absolutely disregarded by the Directors of certain IMPORTANT departments because it involves a close "friend" of theirs. ****Back Stabbers, all about being liars and brown nosers.

Pros

Mostly great knowledgeable caring co-workers in rehab and nursing. Good medical benefits, esp as individual (v family)for anything provided within the hospital itself. Only ever paid for reading of x-rays /mri's by in house radiologist (not sure why). Good community out reach programs on campus. Prior to CEO and head of HR both retiring, this was a great place to work. Hospitalists' MD receptive and available. Good fit. Mostly good nursing floor managers, nurses and CNA's. Appear to have supportive nursing mgrs.

Cons

Flip flopping policies in rehab.Same day 6:30 AM called off. Poor mgr support on virtually any issue. They over hire in rehab dept. Terrible scheduling. Be careful not to leave a steady job for any promises here. Stressful situation. Complaints by many co workers of poor HR support or knowledge for employees with everything from workers comp, FMLA, disabilities to targeted attacks. HR personel often intentionally unavailable/blocked effort to air concerns. Often HR was closed and /or understaffed; relied on volunteers.
