Pros

Benefits of a large company with the feel of a small company. Excellent benefits package includes excellent health plan, 401k matching, gym membership reimbursement, 11 paid holidays + 2 floating, 9 paid sick days, paid vacation based on years of service (starts @ 10 days). Alternative work schedule available (4x9 +4). Strong & innovative GIS department, diligent environmental team, company-wide focus on safety, open-door office policy (access to supervisors, managers, VPs), annual bonus program (tied to company performance). Paid training/ professional conferences.

Cons

At times, inefficient communication among departments. Overbearing Human Resources dept, difficult/ lengthy process for internal transfers (lateral, promotion, or department change). Relative instability based on natural gas markets, but that's standard for the industry.
