Pros

- VERY transparent CEO and executive staff, our leadership is very open with us in terms of company finances, growth goals, sales, new customers, benefits, and a lot of other things I that I have not seen shared by management at a lot of other companies - when I got hired a couple years back the company was a lot smaller than it is now but it has been growing rapidly (most of our staff was even hired over the pandemic). And with this company growth, managers have been good about into developing existing employees into senior roles in addition to hiring more engineers/developers. - there's always work to do, and with how quickly growth has been and how many projects we have in the pipeline, there's always cool and exciting problems to solve and learn from - $0 premiums with affordable deductibles for health, dental, and vision insurance is great

Cons

- Those of us hired before the pandemic have not had any pay adjustment while over the pandemic we hired the majority of current staff at competitive salaries - Even though the company policy is remote-first, pay is still very much based around a local-average-budget - Promotions have been discussed without additional compensation - If HR remains to be stubborn with compensation, employees will leave instead of sticking around for multiple years, like many of the earlier employees who helped build the company did - We have no sick days and when asked about it, HR had said "we have a more than generous PTO policy", which is really average, if not slightly worse than industry standards

Desperate to keep employees

Pros

Passionate college-graduates growing into their first engineer role

Cons

Seegrid has taken full advantage by cutting the company culture that once made it a fun and appealing place to work after COVID. Over the last few months, Seegrid has seen a large amount of important roles depart for better opportunities, offering no incentives or competitive pay to retain employees. Instead, employees receive a repetitive assurance that working for Seegrid is paying off by being the "leader" in the industry. Constant re-structuring of teams leave employees with titles that are less than what they are qualified for. Many engineers being changed to "Technicians" Field and office culture have a massive disconnect in terms of expectations and communication. 12-18 hour days with unreasonable expectations to complete projects Poor work / life balance
