      Part of a large family

      Pros

      The type of people who are interested in this area of work are already of the empathy mindset, ready to help our clients, customers, and also within our own teams. It means that very quickly you feel like part of an extremely large family with 22,000 cousins!

      Cons

      Sometimes the work can be very emotionally draining, and dealing with people who have experienced hardship can be difficult to process. We keep going though, as we know our work makes a difference.

      Multinational company with people from everywhere.

      Cons

      Unrealistic work loads- refusal to adequately staff with people of sufficient skills and lack of willingness to invest to train staff, so senior level employees have workloads far exceeding what they should while other employees are doing nothing and refusing work due to insufficient experience and training. Constant changing of goal posts and changing of terms making it more difficult to obtain bonuses and incentives. Mixed messages from management- local management and governance does not match advise and objectives advised by international senior management. Preaches culture of empathy and inclusion, however the reality in offices is closed minded and discourages open and honest conversations.
