Pros
If you are a “yes-man” who enjoys sucking up to management you can get pretty far here. Check your dignity and common sense at the door. Unfortunately, other credit unions in the area do not think very highly of Security so you may have a hard time moving on when you are sick of being overworked and under paid. Salaried positions have a completely different benefit package. They like to keep this hush hush, which contributes to the us vs them mentality that a lot of management has.
Cons
Managements vision often wanders. They do not set clear expectations. When goals are given they are completely unrealistic. Most in upper management have been there decades and have formed a “clique”. HR is very involved in the office politics and often let their feelings dictate their decisions. HR is very sneaky in what they tell you during the interview process. You will see red flags, run!
