Pros

Many things to learn because we manage few different clients and can work with different people.

Cons

If you are unlucky to be under a manager who doesnt like you, career growth is hard. The management are not really paying attention to our hard work and rely on managers to give review. but if they decide they dont like you, it is harder to get promotions or good increment. The CEO talks about how we are going well and competing with other agencies but I realized that SearchGuru has a lot less senior people with experience. Our managers some dont even have 5 years of experience... In other agencies, they have many veterans to learn from. Also, I realize that non-Chinese colleagues have a tough time here and end up leaving quickly. Its sad to see so many good people who left because of this things.

Pros

- The company emphasizes on constant learning by having a lot of internal trainings and sharings. - In the SEO team, they have a buddy system where team members help one another in a project. Each specialist, regardless of their seniority, also has their own mentors that will guide them in their projects. - Project opportunities are given to all specialists regardless of seniority. I was given the chance to lead important projects even when I was a junior specialist. - Knowledge sharing is encouraged in the team to keep all team members updated on the latest SEO news and best practices. -Team members are helpful towards each other.

Cons

- Account managers do not really play their roles in liaising with the clients for the specialists. Specialists have to constantly be in touch with clients directly, causing them unable to focus fully on their projects. - Favoritism of managers towards certain specialists (but I guess this happens in every company) - Specialists who make the loudest voice in the team are given the priority for promotions, and true leadership, management and digital marketing skills come next when it comes to promotions.
