Pros

- Attractive staff travel prices. Fly to KL for as Low as $5. - Friendly colleagues - More easygoing as compared to SIA, not much politics - Don’t have to bring work home - Service much simpler compared to a full-service carrier, where you don’t have to serve every single passenger - Encouraged to embrace your true personality and have fun onboard - Grooming guidelines are fun. You can have outrageously coloured hair if you want to

Cons

- Shift hours - Having to handle out of the ordinary weather when you travel to different countries, which may cause you to fall sick often - After merging with Tiger, more turnarounds rather than layovers. You can try to swap flights but it’s not always easy also. - Lack of empathy from management - Only provided with uniform and some money just to get a winter coat when you start. You have to get your own luggage, heels, stockings, etc. This is a Low cost carrier so it’s expected. - Hate standby - No such thing as public holidays or weekends - Demerit points system which makes crew feel like children

Pros

best reasons? none. just stay away from this company unless you're good at talking your way up

Cons

- teams here are not inclusive and welcoming to new hires. therefore, knowledge will always remain with experienced (selfish) staff and MINIMAL information will only be passed onto new hires when bosses ask. - they portray themselves as a young, vibrant and youthful brand but management is still so traditional, putting in much emphasis over facetime. its covid period now and tbh there's nth much to do but yet, management give comments whenever people leave work on time. moral booster much. a lively brand on the outside but dead on the inside. - management practices favouritism so openly which is so unprofessional. if you get yourself on their bad books, you can forget about getting involved in projects. your career progression is just downhill from there. - its a super toxic internal culture where well-liked employees will always be favoured and it's just a meaningless fight for visibility and involvement for the rest. its no surprise that the turnover is super high. there is no culture of helpfulness and respect here. my only mistake is not checking Glassdoor before accepting the offer as my sentiments are also similarly felt by many people here. you can scroll through the other comments to see. so a sincere advise from me, just don't join this company.

Pros

Staff travel, casual working attire

Cons

- Toxic working environment with incompetent middle management and plenty of office politics. New employees are quickly influenced to disrespect incompetent managers. AFIs for incompetent bosses are repeatedly highlighted but ignored. - Lack of direction across the entire management. Lack of leadership and structure is apparent. Actions are often taken based on indecision. Management leads with fear, often overriding associate level decision without clear, logical reasoning. Most bosses have big egos and do not like it when their opinions are rejected. There is little to no guidance for new hires because some leaders are just not cut out for the position they are in. - Associates who have been there for 2-3 years act high and mighty and are very unwilling to share information, keeping knowledge to themselves and like to steal credit for other people's work. Everyone has their own idea of how they want things to be done but these are rarely translated into workable, sustainable processes. Turnover rates are very high across the entire company. - Employees are under-utilised, taking long lunch and toilet breaks. They (even bosses) come in late and leave on time.
