No Room for Growth, Disconnect from Values

Pros

My immediate team environment is generally positive, my coworkers are wonderful, and my boss interested in creating a good environment. During my tenure at the company I have grown professionally and learned a great deal about my field. I am very grateful for that. When I joined the team I had little industry specific experience and when I asked for an opportunity to seek professional training the company agreed to pay for that.

Cons

Astonishingly, SaviLinx does not have an annual review process for employees, at least at the corporate level, and does not offer any raises, cost of living increases, or bonuses. During my time at the company my responsibilities have grown considerably after teammates were laid off. Although I have taken on more work, no discussion of fair compensation commensurate with the additional responsibilities was ever held. SaviLinx recently got rid of sick time and when employee feelings of discontent were brought to the CEO she entirely rejected any conversations about how to try and make up for lost time off. At the same moment sick time was removed from employees the executives got an additional two weeks of PTO. This speaks to a general disregard for employees benefits and compensation throughout the upper executive levels. Issues with benefits are expected to be handled solo by employees and if you ask questions you get branded as "difficult." A company shows its true values when faced with challenges to them and SaviLinx has consistently failed to live up to its idea of itself.

Dysfunctional management

Pros

Remote work helps cut down on the drive to site

Cons

No chance for increase in pay. When I asked was told some BS answer about needing to align with business needs and “rocks”. All we hear about is meeting rocks yet no one in IT knows what our own rocks are. We simply do rocks for other departments who end up getting credit for them. It’s ridiculous and a dysfunctional example of this place.

Thank you for being willing to share your experience with SaviLinx. It's disappointing to hear that you started out strong and were even "helping other team members," but ultimately weren't successful with us! I'm sorry that we lost you! We are always looking for people with promotable skills like those that you described. Employees with these skill sets often grow and develop into more senior roles with us! Regarding attendance and punctuality, SaviLinx understands that life happens and we have developed our policies accordingly. A single, or even a couple late starts, would not rise to the level of separation of employment. If you feel as though you were not treated fairly, please contact me at HR@savilinx.com so I can review your specific situation with you. I do need to clarify that extended absences from illness or other situations are handled under our generous employee leave policies. Thank you again for providing us with your experience (even though it's hard to hear). We use the information you provide to continually improve. In fact, you many not be aware depending on your departure date, but SaviLinx just increased compensation for many positions! Please contact me soon so we can discuss your experience! Again, I can be reached at HR@savilinx.com
