You would think that Sacred Heart Community Service would be a better place to work to serve the community, but it’s not. It’s good for the client but it’s horrible for the working conditions for the employees. Sacred Heart wants to tackle the issue around homelessness, but who is gonna tell them about the employees facing similar issues as the pay rate is so low. In fact, the pay rate is the lowest compared to other agencies in the county. In this agency, employees leave in record numbers due to unsafe conditions and micromanage. The amount of overwork and less pay is terrible, while the directors get paid six-figure salaries. Often, the managers lack training as they might not be aware of regulations of working environment and needs further training. If employees try to bring up any concerns, they are often shown the power and retaliation moves, which makes them not want to say anything.
