Marketing gimmick says corporation seeks to practice the healing presence of God. These values are not embodied by administrators and management. Employees are treated with little respect and dignity. Middle management does not advocate for employees but defers to SSM's policies and the impossibility of going against the corporation. Work culture is more toxic, morale is extremely low, yet week after week it seems another new administrator, executive, VP, etc is hired. HR is grossly lacking in clear policies and consistent interpretation of benefits. No one advocates for employees and patient care is suffering because of this.
