      Worse company I have ever worked for, bullying behaviour and vengeful senior management if you ever decide to move on.

      Pros

      If you enjoy being left alone with no support, no resources, using your own vehicle to carry out their projects, and zero career growth and development then this is the company for you.

      Cons

      intranet system one of the worst I have seen. Very laggy computer systems server that will slow your work progress down tremendously. Senior management too busy with their KPI's and number crunching to worry about the minions on the field bringing in the money so they can fly internationally on first class. Senior staff have no issues with lying regarding your career development opportunities and dangling the carrot infront of you in order to keep milking you to meet their KPIs.

      I joined SLR a year ago and have not witnessed this in the past year. I think new leadership has taken the organization to a whole new level. Focus on DEI and respect for people is first and foremost. This was the best career move I have ever made.

      Running your own business with a boss and limited pay

      Pros

      Super flexible hours are completely decided by you/your client and smaller teams mean you have more opportunities to manage. Some awesome people to work with in some occasionally varied projects.

      Cons

      Barely average pay, no support from management who simply "don't have time" use your own car (which I wasn't told until starting), management can be catty and take things extremely personally. Can easily be boxed into specific fields.

      Pros

      No Pros - they promise the world in terms of career development and they dont deliver.

      Cons

      Zero career development, you will be stuck doing same thing day in day out, and they will promise you career development, but it won't happen. Senior management have no clue about the needs of staff out in the field. they too busy flying first class around the world. If a position becomes available, they will almost always recruit externally instead of upskilling their internal stuff.
