Pros

Colleagues are ok because everyone is fresh and innocent

Cons

Toxic culture: hire and fire. Tons of fake reviews to bring in new candidates, milk their experience and networks, then fire them. Lots of politics. zero talent retention, zero staff development, zero growth, zero career progression. Deceptive and deceitful: lots of deception to sell the company and portray it in good light. Do more investigative work and you’ll find out more. JOIN AT YOUR OWN WILL. You have been warned with the all reviews on Glassdoor that have been hidden by HR. Don’t expect to do what you’re good at. You’ll be told what to do.

Pros

Relatively casual culture. fairly nice colleagues

Cons

Lack of transparency: if you ask the CEO something you will get a nice sounding answer, which is usually only the partial truth. Technology: Company has over-sold its capabilities, failed multiple POCs. Blame Game: CEO says he will hold the team responsible, not the individual. but the people around him carry tales about specific individuals, who are trying their best but get most of the blame. any organisation that tells you there is no politics is either a fresh grad or lying. In this case it's both. The politics happen behind your back and you wont know why you fell out of favour or what you did wrong to lose an opportunity. If you are an experienced hire, please think twice about joining. It will be one of the worst office cultures you experience.

Thank you for your feedback. We value all feedback and constructive criticism from current and past employees as it gives us the opportunity to improve. We would like to clarify what you stated regarding our failed POCs is untrue. We have never failed a POC to date. The sales process is often complex and there are many factors that influence a sale. We appreciate there may be confusion over POCs and the time it takes to close a sale, unless you are involved throughout. As a trusted partner to many leading unicorns and technology companies, we are proud of the technology which we have worked together to develop. Transparency and Collaboration are both values that we hold of utmost importance and this is encompassed in everything we do. We work hard to ensure that company communication is open, honest and clear throughout, further supporting our flat and collaborative working culture. It is important for us that everyone is treated and rewarded fairly for their efforts and performance - both as a team and individually. We have a zero-tolerance policy for internal politics or favoritism, and we are prepared to take action if these values are undermined or threatened. We take great pride in our inclusive and safe working environment and continuously work to protect our company culture whereby every employee feels supported, and has a sense of belonging. We are disappointed that you had a negative experience at SHIELD and appreciate everyone has different working styles. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

A seemingly open culture on the surface

Cons

As an employee who have been with the company for a while, it is a truly depressing sight to see the CEO practice favoritism and lacks strategic vision but can be very adamant to feedback. The company has experienced quite an exodus recently with many key members of the team leaving. I guess it does not help that most glassdoor reviews seen here are actually 'requested' by management, a facade.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. As we have big goals ahead, the key members and the management remains unchanged and have been working hard together for the last 5 - 10 years and engaging with all employees to support our goals. Through our bi-weekly employees sports activities, to monthly lunches and regular one-on-one two-way meetings, the company wants to connect with each employee on a personal level and create an interactive and dynamic environment for all. We're sorry that you felt this way but the company has never influenced any glassdoor review which can be verified by our current and past employees. The company is always available for your feedback and feel free to send a text/email or speak to anyone of us at any time.
