Pros

Management will allow happy hours and small celebrations for employee birthdays. Also, you can have a party when you resign.

Cons

-Upper Management does not care about its employees. -Toxic work environments at each office. -Will not give bonuses or raises- instead they nitpick all the reasons you don't deserve one and will expect you to accept that and stay. -Will force employees in during a pandemic- they don't care if your vaccinated or not. -If the weather is bad you must come in no excuses even though everyone has the capability to work from home and stay out of dangerous weather conditions (again SCB does not care about its employees). -Favoritism of some and not others. -The head of the office watches everyone's every move and reports back to their boss. Be careful of this person. This is a very toxic person in the office. -They have a "we never stop" mentality and it is true employees are forced to be in by 730am and forced to stay until 4pm. Do not allow a flexible work schedule unless previously approved. -Most days don't count of having a lunch break there is just too much work. -Everything and anything you do has to be approved and scrutinized. -Don't expect any type of career growth at this company the job you are given is the job you keep. They will however toss someone else work/job on you if that person has suddenly quit. -Work life balance is poor you feel like you are spending all your time at work. -Workspace in Chicago, IL is very small. You are so packed in with everyone you can hear everyone's conversations. Zero privacy. -Coworkers are nice but are just as upset and exhausted as everyone else is at SCB group. -Many other brokerage firms out there to join just NOT this one.

Pros

Large bonus opportunity if you're skilled AND lucky that counterparties do deals with you.

Cons

If potential deals far apart, you don't get a bonus and you get fired in less than a year. Two skilled hard-working guys got let go. Another guy got let go because he was lazy. Another guy was young and unskilled.
