Pros

You work on very interesting projects, the people are great to work with, flexible hours, great work atmosphere

Cons

Management tends to struggle with communication, they tend to treat non-architects (landscape architects, interior designers, and engineers) as second class citizens, Principals need to improve communication with staff. Very often work is promised to clients without discussing with project managers or studio leaders. It is not right when a Principal promises a client a project by a certain date without consulting your managers. Then the team is spending the weekend in the office while the Principal is in Cape Cod. Lead by example!

Pros

You will get to work on many projects.

Cons

The senior architects are very mediocre in their design skills. They have no respect for other contractors and vendors on site. They are very disrespectful and arrogant to non architects and other players in the industry. The commitments are made to clients with no regard for people who needs to execute the project. Not an environment that helps you grow personally or professionally.

Pros

Good Designers, Some exciting projects

Cons

Lack of mentoring, lack of communication to employees. Performance appraisals based on the old 'number system' rating. No vehicles for communication to management. Indifference to 'worker bees'. Bonuses were nowhere near what was represented. Raises were minimal once pay is established regardless of performance.
