It only gets really busy on the weekends, so overall it’s not a very fast paced job. If you’re lucky you can make some very good friends.
Cons
The pay, the customers, the management especially. All they want to do is make a profit and will really get in your face about it. Godforbid you get a trial shift here, please don’t waste your time, they’ll just use you as free labour for 3 hours and reject you.
They can be quite over bearing with targets, etc. Some store managers are very strict on not allowing you to get involved with partcular store processes that an assistant manager should play a part in, like store merchandising.
