Fun environment where you truly feel part of a team working to make tubers experience go as smoothly as possible. Free floating for you and a friend, with two more at a huge discount. Get to leave the vehicle often to help unload and load customers. Great tips if your energetic and understand entertaining customers in the time you have them. Weekends lunch is provided. Competitive pay when you factor in tips.
Cons
Can be high stress when the majority of customers get off the river at the same time. Dealing with intoxicated customers that often don't listen. Even if you work over forty hours a week in the summer theres no overtime bonus. Some days people just wouldn't tip. Busses were old and in need of replacing, but cheaper to slap some tape on and keep them running another year. Some vehicles had no audio equipment to play music. Your at the whim of the weather on if the river is open.
