      Don't judge a book by its cover

      * Management not Ethical, employees are just a number * RobotShop writes their own positive reviews on glassdoor to push down the negative * Company has yet to pay for training and coaching courses...just a facade. * Employees appreciated as long you are in agreement with all management policies and procedures. As soon as you have an opiniated view that goes against theirs, you are "blacklisted" * If promoted, it is without any salary increase or compensation * Human Ressources is NOT for the employees at all. * Management spends more time on petty things rather than running their business ( ie. watching employees personalized LinkedIn profiles and forcing them to change it) * RobotShop could truly be a great place to work if employees were respected and given the credit for their hard work. Also to realize that what may have worked for the company 10 years ago, may not work now.

      We were surprised to read your negative review and do not agree but respect the fact that people, depending on the situation can have completely opposite opinions. We are disappointed that you imply that we create our own positive reviews, as we are not. We understand that it may be difficult for you to accept that other employees can be perfectly happy working at RobotShop, as it was definitely not your case anymore. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

      Don't go there and make the same mistake I did

      I've made great colleagues and friends there.

      Cons

      Company is run like a cult with extremely toxic management You get written up if for menial things like having a banana on your desk or if you share any criticism about the company Most of the positive reviews are probably written by HR/Management

      We are sorry to read your comments about RobotShop. It is true, we have a strong culture and we believe that it is part of our success. This is why during our hiring process we try to give as much information as possible on our culture, so that candidates can see if there is a fit with their personality and values. Maybe this work environment was not made for you, but it is certainly a great place for others with cultural fit who share the same values. In every group, family or community, it is all about feeling like you belong and we hope you will find such a place at work.

      At first it looks like a really good place, but this changes really quickly after a few months.

      Pros

      - Free beers on friday. - Relatively good insurance (eye coverage was withdrawn this year though). - Relatively flexible working hours (depending on your position).

      Cons

      - Bad management. - CEO is very narrow minded. - Approximately half of the employees have either been fired or simply left in less than two years, there is a reason for that and no one seems to take this matter seriously. - Salary is on the low-end and I don't see this getting better anytime soon.

      Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We are very sorry to hear that your experience with us left you with a bad opinion about RobotShop management team. It is true that we have many projects going on as we are very ambitious and have great projects in the pipeline. We feel that for most of our employees this is energizing and are sorry to see that you didn't feel that way. We agree that we had some staff movement in the last year, slightly higher than the low turnover rate we were used to (but still within normal turnover rates in the industry). We can assure you that we take this matter seriously and this is why, among other things, we do exit interviews. Although, it would be delusional to think everybody can fit or be happy in our culture, our intention is to make RobotShop one of the best places to work!
