Pros

The office dynamics are actually pretty great. It's very diverse with a fun culture! The pay is also nice and I'm very happy to have a set schedule in this day and age.

Cons

In my area in particular, I hear all the bad straight from customers. Many sales reps either aren't well informed of how the business operates or are just intentionally misleading them. Their practices are also shady - saying they don't do contracts and calling it an 'agreement' instead, locking customers in incredibly expensive leases that are almost impossible to get out of, and lacking general clarity on fees and charges. It's hard being part of the group that's supposed to help these people and watching the company just tear them down from the beginning.

Thank you for your time and your review. We are pleased that our culture has stood out to you as such a great positive. It is our team that makes the culture come alive and you are 100% part of that. As for your feedback regarding training, we do have an exhaustive 2 week training program for all new outside sales representatives as well as additional booster trainings that we provide. All representatives are trained on the sales process and methodology and while working in our Merchant Success team can sometimes feel as if all customers are experiencing challenges, remember that most of the time folks are only calling into a customer service line with a problem, not to brag about how awesome we are. We have seen a drastic decline in the overall call volume into our customer service team because we are solving problems earlier and faster. We are still working to improve, but we are making great progress together! Taking your feedback to heart, we will look for more ways to provide our teams resources and support earlier in the merchant journey to prevent misunderstandings and confusion.

They actually do have plans that are custom made and do help clients in putting more money in their pockets.

Cons

During the job interview, you are in a group setting and you yourself may get 20 seconds to say your piece and you're basically hired right off the bat. What made me frustrated is that they made it seem that you would start getting the money flowing (after discovering its not base pay, it's ALL commission based and no paid training) almost immediately after training, but unless you want to force yourself onto people, not everyone will be as lucky as others. My location, people are not easily trustworthy, so unless you know them personally to get you started, you are not going to have much luck. It's not until later in the training process that they will say it's pretty common not to get ANY sales (which means no money) the first month. This isn't what I signed up for.

In reviewing our job advertisement, interview presentation, interview scripting, and training content, we ensure that every step of the way our candidates understand that this role is a 1099 independent contractor role that is commission based. We will look to add even more opportunities into our process to reinforce this throughout the process. I have also reviewed our training content regarding the item on "it is pretty common not to get any sales" and actually train our teams that we have a 50-60% successful close rate on deals, but yes, you are going to get "no" that other 40-50% of the time. Our close rate is one of the best in the industry and we have multiple reps that are earning a great income due to the diligent focus of our National Sales Managers.
