Pros

Supportive engineering culture with genuinely collaborative teams; strong focus on product quality and delivering user value; opportunities to modernise systems and influence technical direction; healthy work-life balance with flexible working; leadership that invests in personal and professional development.

Cons

Some legacy systems can slow down development progress; cross-team alignment can occasionally be challenging; decision-making sometimes takes longer due to stakeholder layers; onboarding into complex domain areas requires time. Pay in engineering could be better aligned with industry standards.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. We’re really pleased to hear that you value our supportive engineering culture, collaborative teams, and strong focus on delivering high-quality products that create real user value. It’s also great to know that our approach to flexible working, work-life balance, and investment in personal and professional development has had a positive impact on your experience so far. We appreciate your honest feedback on the challenges too. Modernising legacy systems, improving cross-team alignment, and navigating complex decision-making are areas we continue to focus on, and your comments reinforce the importance of this work. We also recognise that onboarding into a complex domain can take time, and we’re always looking for ways to make that experience smoother. Thank you again for your continued contribution and for being part of the Rightmove journey.

Pros

The training at Rightmove is genuinely one of the best parts of working here. From day one, the onboarding is structured, practical, and really helps you understand both the market and how to sell effectively. It doesn’t stop after the first few weeks either – there’s ongoing development, coaching, and plenty of opportunities to build your skills whether you’re new to sales or more experienced. Management are supportive and approachable, and it feels like they genuinely want you to succeed. There’s a good balance between accountability and encouragement – you’re pushed to perform but also given the tools and feedback to improve. The product itself is market-leading, which makes selling much easier. Most customers already recognise the brand and value, so conversations are about helping them get the most out of it rather than trying to convince them why they should use it.

Cons

It’s a fast-paced environment and expectations are high, so it can feel intense at times – but that comes with working for a strong brand. Systems can also be a bit of a nightmare to navigate - but it gets easier and there is a lot of investment happening
