Pros

Opened my eyes to what a ‘slave circle’ is

Cons

*Extreme* working hours Cold calling/canvassing Constant corporate propaganda Revolving door hiring technique Pyramid Scheme/Slave circle model Not paying employees Borderline scamming/pressuring members of the public to buy a product they more often than not, don’t need. ‘Dangling the carrot’ as a means to get you to slave away, with no actual feasible reward Too many to list

Mis-manages people

Pros

HR hierarchy is pretty flat and easy to speak to. Remote work is available for most people. All software for business is new/buggy/non-existent. New hr tool, no ticket management to manage all your work. Instead you have to go into various customer programs for visibility.

Cons

They are terrible about forecasting growth or they just don’t care about the repercussions. Either you are in a team that is woefully under staffed and you have to work all the time to cover the work required to complete…… or you are part of some hires that are just waiting for new customers. When sales do not win a few new customers they lay off most of the new hires. Also, when they lose contracts they already had, those overworked people don’t get support, just MORE layoffs. You can try to say it is the market fluctuations but it is poor forecasting, poor management and NO regard for their people.

Pros

I enjoyed getting to know the people that worked there.

Cons

Two or three months in one of the managers flew in to work with me regarding the H1B process. He told me the don’t really need anymore recruiters and why don’t I go into BD. Little to no support from main office in TX as the two offices don’t seem to work well together.
