ResProp falls into the same trap as most underperforming companies in 2026 - the biggest issue being they want to spend as little as possible even at the expense of their employees. You will hear the word "frugal" a lot because that is one of the values but realistically, they don't practice what they preach. Frugal = spending smart to maximize long term value. Cheap = spending as little as possible making huge sacrifices to quality. Corporate support is about 40% offshored contractors at this point. When I first joined the company, it was maybe 5-10%. The leadership heavily utilizes contractors from India and the Philippines to augment the full-time staff. Over the last 5 years they've reduced staffing in all departments and refuse to hire full time employees to replace them, instead they will leave the positions vacant (and have existing employees absorb their work) or replace the person with contractors who have 10-20% of the work output because they are paid less than minimum wage in USD (meaning full time employees absorb the work AND have to babysit contractors). Their motto - "FAWOMO" (find a way or make one) should actually be "FACWOMSEDI" (find a cheap way or make someone else do it). ResProp also promotes a WFH policy for employees but does not provide laptops, or any hardware for that matter (the founder Pete Rex doesn't believe in it, more evidence of cheapness). Oh, and the WFH policy isn't some gesture of goodwill either, the company used to have a corporate office but didn't renew the lease... right after laying off a bunch of employees... connect the dots there. Lastly, being a cheap management company = attracting cheap clients. So, it's just a giant circle of cheapness like a bunch of Krusty Krabs managed by Mr Krabs. Clients and ownership of properties that ResProp manage struggle to pay bills (utilities like power, internet get shut off constantly), struggle to pay ResProp (causing Resprop to have less revenue) and staff properties with the least amount of people possible. So, everyone from operations to support is just working at 100% all the time, stressed, frustrated and it reflects on everyone.
